ABOR funds $350,000 for additive manufacturing June 28, 2019 The Arizona Board of Regents awarded $350,000 of their Regents' Innovation Fund grants to the project "Advancing Additive Manufacturing Frontiers on Earth and Beyond", a joint project between the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, and Northern Arizona University. AMI Teams with Honeywell in Metals Laser Powder-Bed Fusion Process Modeling and Control April 5, 2019 UA researchers will collaborate with Honeywell Aerospace to evaluate state-of-the-art, build-simulation metals Laser Powder-Bed Fusion (LPBF) models with a focus on the prediction of dimensional distortion under varied processing conditions. The project is part of a new University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI)-led program funded by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Read more
