New Faculty Hire in Additive Manufacturing

As part of the expanding Additive Manufacturing Initiative, the Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) Department is pleased to announce the hiring of a tenure-track assistant professor in metals-based AM. 

Andrew Wessman comes from GE with 15+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing.  Andrew will help guide the evolution of additive manufacturing at the University of Arizona and lead projects in alloy development for AM applications.  He will also develop undergraduate and graduate-level curriculum in materials engineering for AM and metallurgy.
