Dr. Andelle Kudzal, a materials engineer at the Combat Capabilities Development Command at the United States Army Research Laboratory (ARL), visited campus to give a seminar titled, “Point of Need Additive Manufacturing for the US Army”.

Dr. Kudzal met with UA's Additive Manufacturing Institute faculty and toured facilities to learn more about mutual needs and capabilities.  Specific topics of discussion included AM for metals, in situ process monitoring, and metrology.  She also made time to meet with students regarding internship and career opportunities at ARL.

Dr. Kudzal is on a three-month guest-engineer rotation with Honeywell Aerospace based in Phoenix, Arizona.
