UA Students Present at MRS Spring 2019 Meeting

Two University of Arizona (UA) graduate students in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering, Anna Hayes and Susana Castillo, presented at the MRS Spring meeting

Susana’s talk, “Optimization of Process Parameters for Additive Manufacturing using Recycled Metal Powder," was in collaboration with Honeywell Aerospace.  Susana will defend her master’s thesis this July and join Polyceed as a process engineer.

Anna presented her work on “Additive Manufacturing on Earth Abundant Minerals-Based Composites” which has applications for space exploration and manufacturing.  Anna, who is pursuing her PhD, also serves as president of the UA MRS Student Chapter.
