Research Thrusts:

 Glass, ceramic, and molecular-hybrid optical and electronic materials and their characterization for applications involving integrated photonics, emissive media, 2- and 3-D structure/property patterning, additive manufacturing, radiation effects in materials/shielding, radiation sensing, photovoltaic energy generation, and materials resiliency.


Projects:  

Inorganic-polymer composites for 3D printed radiation shielding: Simulation, fabrication, and testing. AM fabrication of biocompatible ceramics for bone
replacement.
